Vor Ort gab es erstmal ein belegtes Baguette f\u00fcr den kleinen Hunger. Dann besichtigten wir die Kathedrale. Was genau der Unterschied zwischen Kirche und Kathedrale ist bin ich mir nicht sicher. Eine Kathedrale ist vermutlich nur eine Kirche auf Steroiden. So oder so \u00e4hnlich. Auf jeden Fall kann man per Kreditkarte Kerzen kaufen. Auf den Kreuzen oder Davidsternen sind bei den meisten die Namen zu lesen. Auf Grund des einsetzenden Regens sind wir nur sehr kurz geblieben und waren sehr schnell wieder im Auto. Kleine Dessert Pause im Auto sp\u00e4ter fuhren wir Richtung Omaha Beach. Den Strand selbst haben wir noch nicht besucht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Was wir aber besucht haben war der Friedhof der US Streitkr\u00e4fte. 9,388 Gr\u00e4ber sind hier zu finden. Au\u00dferdem sind hier einige Denkm\u00e4ler, die den Verlauf der Operation Overlord darstellen. Ein beeindruckender und erschreckender Ort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-opt-id=327173631
